Our Learn-to-run programme will have you jogging for 30 minutes non-stop in 8 weeks.

We pride ourselves on our welcoming, fun and social atmosphere. No shouting instructors, just enthusiastic and inspiring coaches keeping you on track. Combining classes,homework jogs and online support, it is 8 weeks that could change your life.

How it works:  Choose to attend 1 or 2 classes per week. In total we ask you to run each week 3 times. Each week you also receive class notes, homework, Running Tips and Online Support. Book your place

Can’t make it to class? Mary has developed a series of Online Beginners Running Programmes called ‘Get Running’ with The Irish Times. These are FREE Beginners Running Courses which you can join anytime and follow the weekly instructions.

Where do we meet ?


Clontarf – Sail Monument on the corner of Clontarf Road and Alfie Byrne Road : See Map
Sandymount – Where Sean Moore Park meets Sandymount Strand. Come down onto beach. See Map

A detailed map and directions to all locations will be provided to all participants.
NOTE: Please do not bring any bags. There is no storage facility at any venue.

What happens if it rains ?


Classes takes place in all weather conditions.
If it rains, we will still continue, however format may be different.

What do I Bring ?

All Classes :
Please DO NOT bring any bags/valuables with you.
* Bottle of Water
* Comfortable Clothing
* NO VALUABLES
Ensure all car keys safe by wearing clothing with a zip pocket

No bag storage facility provided.
BeachFit: Please bring a large TOWEL or EXERCISE MAT to BeachFit Class.

What date does it start ?


We start classes every 8 weeks.
If you have missed the start date and would like to join classes midterm,
please contact ForgetTheGym directly

Bank Holiday Plans
Our 2017 Spring term runs from 13th Mar – 20th May (8 Weeks).
Over this time there are 2 weeks when we wont have classes :
Easter Week (17th-20th Apr) And May Bank Holiday Week (1st-4th May).
Eating before Class ?


Evening Class: Please don’t eat your dinner before class.
A small snack 2 hrs before class will give you energy for the class.
A dinner may give you a stitch and make you feel tired and bloated.

Nervous ?


Having Second Thoughts? Remember, this is most peoples first Outdoor Fitness class.
It is normal to be nervous, so please dont worry about not being fit enough for the class.
You will be able to go at your own pace throughout, and i hope you will enjoy it.

General


All Participants must complete Health Questionnaire and Waiver Form before attending class.
All Fees Paid are Non Refundable and cannot be carried forward as credit future classes.
Participants are responsible for informing instructor at class of injury/limitation which restricts training.
‘Forget The Gym’ is not responsible for any valuables lost/stolen or damaged while attending class.
‘Forget The Gym’ is not responsible for any injuries caused while attending class.
‘Forget The Gym’ has the right to refuse admission to any of the classes.

Our classes take place outdoors at the following locations across Dublin:

Sandymount, Dublin
Clontarf, Dublin

Our workshops take place at the Clayton Hotel Cardiff Lane, beside the Bord Gais Energy Theatre in Dublin Docklands.

Chirunning events take place outdoors in local parks or at your club or venue.
