It’s the time of year when we have the best of intentions but are tight on finances after the Christmas season. Here are 5 things that you can do that are completely FREE whatever level of fitness you feel you are at.

1. ForgetTheGym Facebook  challenge

2. Jantastic

The New Year fitness challenge for all fitness levels will help you  you started, keep you moving and improve your health, fitness and motivation. Join Jantastic and then you will have the option to Join our ForgetTheGym group within where you can commit to doing a certain amount of runs/walks each week and track your progress. 3. Irish Times Get Running

This is a FREE Video Based online Coaching running programmes for Beginners, Improvers and Lapsed Runners. Created, designed and coached by Mary from ForgetTheGym, due to the success of these programmes on IrishTimes.com in 2014 with over 15,000 people taking part., the programmes will all be relaunched in 2015. 4. Parkrun 

FREE 5ks every Saturday morning in 20 locations across Ireland. Possibly the best thing to happen to running in Ireland in years. Walk, run or crawl your way around a 5k each weekend. What we are planning for later in the month….

We will resume our new term of Classes for Beginners, Improvers and Lapsed Runners. We will also have a Chirunning Technique Workshop at the end of the month, and a ‘My First Half Marathon Workshop’ also. Keep an eye on our facebook page too for some FREE classes in the last week of January…
