Autumn at ForgetTheGym….

6 months on and we are back on the beach – but we will also stay online after such a great summer on zoom! We know how hard it is to stay motivated without parkrun, races and running buddies. But we are here to help keep you energised, moving and sane this very unusual autumn of 2020.

Our Autumn plans

ForgetTheGym Online : We start on 14th Sept a 6 week term keeping runners (and lapsed runners) motivated for autumn. You can join from anywhere in the world as it is all online.  There will be 4 coaches who cover all aspects of our health as runners : Mary, Aoife, Linda (Linann Yoga) & Dee (Deeliteful). The programme will keep you running but includes a lot more than just running coaching. Find out more about online coaching 

Running Classes : 6 week term of classes in Sandymount and Clontarf will return on 14th September. You can choose to attend classes or combine classes with our ForgetTheGym online package. See class timetable 

Chi Running Workshops : Mary will lead small group outdoor running technique workshops to help you feel better running and avoid injury. Booking essential. First one Sept 10th in Sandymount : Chi Running in September.

Marathon Coaching : Mary’s marathon coaching group has started and training will continue for ‘virtual’ marathons from now right up to end of October where we will run our ‘virtual’ Dublin marathon.

Have you got the book? Mary’s Get Running book is available to help give runners of all levels inspiration on how to enjoy running more.

Reading about Running : Mary will continue to write fortnightly for The Irish Times on all things running related.

Beginners Coaching: We wont have any running classes for complete beginners. But if you are completely new to running, you can still use Mary’s book Get Running for all the training plans you need to get moving or use Mary’s Irish Times Get Running programmes which remain free on the website. You can always email Mary if you have any questions.

Other running events : For the moment all our other Run/Yoga Day Trips, holidays, and trips abroad originally planned for the autumn have been postponed.

Coming soon : For the past 6 months we have changed how we coach, but we are delighted to say that our running community is as strong as ever. We will keep on changing what we do to make sure we stay in line with government covid guidelines while keep your healthy, safe and happy.
