Come join us Sunday 5th March for a morning of run/walk/stretch and of course picnic!
Whether you have been moving all winter, or are just coming out of hibernation, you are all totally welcome.
3 options for you
- 10k Run/Walk : Meet at 8.30am for a guided warmup and we send you on your way.
- 5k Run/Walk: Meet at 9.00am for a guided warmup and off on your way.
- Just the picnic! : From 9.45am to 11am – come join us on the grass!
This is not a race – its a chance to get up and out, meet others, enjoy the scenery and springtime in the park and remind you how good it is to move, chat and soak up the spring!
Meeting Point : Park at the visitors centre car park and from there walk up to the Cafe and you will see us on the grass outside!
What to bring : Wear your running/walking gear but also bring for after – picnic mat to sit/stretch on after, warm layers to throw on, flask/picnic (if you dont have patience for the coffee shop queue!).
We will have a base on the grass just at the visitors centre cafe (meet there) and this is the route to follow :
10k runners : you will do the route twice (i suggest revsersing for your 2nd lap – you will come back to visitors centre at half way.
5k running : one lap of the route and we will go in an anti clockwise direction finishing back where you started.
Taking shortcuts : Of course if you dont want to do either of these distances you can make your own route up and just finish up with us after.
